Desh Bhagat University organised a Mega Job Fest, ‘Visionzz-17’ at Guru
Gobind Singh Public Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani Talab, Jammu. This
job fest was targeted at the students of various streams of ITI,
Diploma Holders, Graduates and Post-Graduates in (Mechanical/ E&C),
B.Pharma , M.Pharma and many other courses. While informing about the
Job Fest ‘Visionzz-17’, University Vice Chancellor Dr. Shalini Gupta
said that more than 15 well-known National and Multinational companies
including Exide Life Insurance, Kokuyo Camlin, Cadila Pharmaceuticals
Ltd., Reckitt Benkiser, Eureka Forbes, Amar Ujala, Intex, Crop Chemicals
and JBasco Group etc. participated in this Job Fest. Officers of these
companies selected suitable candidates for different jobs. The fest was
attended by a large number of job aspirants from Jammu and nearby
areas, and 47 candidates were shortlisted through written test and
personal interview by different companies. Dr. Gupta congratulated the
shortlisted students and advised them to work with full dedication and
prove assets for the organisations in which they are going to get jobs.

Tajinder Kaur wished the selected students bright careers and said that
as a part of corporate social responsibility, Desh Bhagat University has
been organizing such job fairs on regular basis for providing suitable
employment opportunities to candidates, not only for its own students
but for the students of the whole North India. They hoped that this job
fair will prove a blessing for the students who participated in it.
Director (IPD) of Desh Bhagat University, Mr. Chetan Gupta said that the
University organises such Mega Fairs from time to time and this is the
17th Mega Fair to be organised. This fair provided an opportunity to
deserving students to get jobs in companies of national as well as
international repute. Selected students appreciated the efforts of Desh
Bhagat University as they felt that they could have never got such a job
through their own resources. They also said that the event was very
well - organised.
