‘P Se Pyaar F Se Fraar’ Film Starcast Visit Best Media Entertainment Film Technology College Desh Bhagat University For Film Promotion


Best Media Entertainment Film Technology College and best university in Punjab Desh Bhagat University, School of Education and the Faculty of Media arranged an interaction of students with the cast of hindi film ‘P SE PYAAR F SE FRAAR’. Actor Bhavish Kumar, who plays lead role in the film, came to the university, along with team. The film team had come for the promotion of their film. 

Director School of Education Dr. Surjeet Patheja welcomed Bhavish Kumar and other artists with bouquets and conveyed best wishes for the success of their film.

Speaking about his new film, Bhavish said that this is a love-drama movie and the music of this film has already gained lot of popularity. The film will be released on 18thof October, 2019. He said the movie was for youth and as well as family. They picked up the concept based on castism in our society. How people lived in that decade and what kind of the problems youth faced. He also entertains the students of the university with dialogues and songs of the upcoming movie.

University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh wished good luck to the film team. Dr. Zora Singh said that these films have made a respectable place in the film world and it is need of the hour to make such films that can entertain as well as educate the viewers and give right direction to the society.

Famous actress Japji Khaira and famous singer Harjit Harman who plays lead role in the film, came to the university, along with team including famous writer and singer Preet Harpal. The film team had come for the promotion of their film.

Director School of Education Dr. Surjeet Patheja welcomed Japji Khaira, Harjit Harman, Preet Harpal and other artists with bouquets and conveyed best wishes for the success of their film.

Speaking about his new film, Harjit Harman said that this is a love-drama-comedy movie and the music of this film has already gained lot of popularity. The film will be released on 14thof September, 2018.Harjit Harman sang songs for the students while remembering his college days. He said the movie was for youth and as well as family. They picked up the concept based on90’s Punjabi culture. How people lived in that decade and what kind of the problems 90’s youth faced. He also entertains the students of the university with dialogues and songs of the upcoming movie.

Interacting with the students, Japji Khaira said that the story of this film is very interesting and it will be liked by people of every age and every section of the society. When Japji performed on the songs of the film, the students enjoyed these so much that they started dancing out of joy. She also entertained the students with their old and new film dialogues.

Desh Bhagat University Pays Rich Tributes To Martyrs By Staging A Play Jagriti

Desh Bhagat University organised a special programme to pay rich tributes to the great heroes of Indian Freedom Movement. University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh along with staff and students remembered the great sacrifices made by the patriots during freedom struggle.
 

On this occasion, A play Jagriti was performed by Adi Manch Theater Group Ambala, which was based on the martyrdom of  Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The play highlighted various aspects of the life of these martyers, who struggled hard to free their motherland from the British rule. The artists beautifully performed  their character that inculcated patriotism, dedication and love for motherland among the students.



Earlier, the function started with paying floral tribute to all martyrs of Indian freedom struggle. While speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh urged the students to inbibe the spirit of dedication, duty and patriotism towards the country from the life of the martyrs who fought for the freedom of the country till their last breath.



Director of the play Rahul Sharma described that the play Jagriti is adopted from the play Gagan Damama Baajyo written by Piyush Mishra.



The artists who performed in the play was Deepak Vij as Bhagat Singh, Sumit Makkar as Rajguru, Ankur as Sukhdev, Shiv Malik as Chander Shekhar Azad, Monika as Vidyavati, Jagdish Dhiman as Lawyer, Naresh Sharma as Judge, child artist Vardaan, Devans, Vanash, Madhav, Atharav, Taran and Yaman. Music of the play was given by Rahul Verma and Lighting by Yogesh jangra.



Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur appreciated the performance of each and every artist of the play. The life of these martyrs is a story of supreme sacrifice and is very close to the hearts of the people, she added.

Desh Bhagat Dental College and University Department of Media Entertainment and Film Technology arranged an interaction of its students with the cast of the soon to be released Punjabi Film "Rabb Da Radio". Famous actress Mandy Takkhar who is in lead role of the film, came to the university, along with her team. The film team had come for the promotion of their film and they regaled the students of the university with dialogues and songs of the upcoming movie.



University Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Dr. Surjit Patheja and and Principal Desh Bhagat Dental College Dr. Neeru Singh welcomed Mandy Takhar and other artists with bouquets and conveyed them their best wishes for the success of their newly coming film. Speaking about her new film, Mandy Takhar said that this is a love-drama-comedy movie and the music of this film has already gained lot of popularity among the Punjabis. The film will be released on 31st of March, 2017.



Interacting with the students, Mandy Takhar observed that the story of this film is very interesting and it will be liked by people of every age and every section of the society. When she performed on the songs of the film, the students enjoyed these so much that they started dancing out of joy. She also entertained the students with their old and new film dialogues.

Inter Varsity Media Fest 'Rayon De Soleil' At Desh Bhagat University

Media and Journalism Department of Desh Bhagat University organized a one-day Inter-Varsity Media Festival ''Rayon De Soleil''(Sun Beam). Students from different campuses like Punjabi University Patiala, Chitkara University Chandigarh and Khalsa College Amritsar participated in it.


 The event was inaugurated by University Pro Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur. She exhorted the Media students  to come as entrepreneurs in Media and take live projects.  Social Activist Mr. Kmaljeet Singh Gill was chief guest on this occasion who motivated the students to contribute in the progress of country and society.


During the Media Fest the students show cased their talent and creative skills in different competitions like Short Play, Singing, Bhangra, Giddha, Collage Making, Cartoon Sketching, Short Film , Mimicry, Radio Jockey and Karaoke etc.


After tough competition, the Final of all competitions were particularly interesting. During individual performances, results are as under, in News Anchoring-Sonam (Chitkara University), in Radio Jockey- Anmol (Chitkara University) in Karaoke-Jasmine (Chitkara University), in Mimicry-Rahul (Desh Bhagat University), In Photography Satwinder Singh (Khalsa College, Amritsar) and in Singing-Mohammad Parvez (Punjabi University) grabbed First prize.


On the other hand, in teams’ competitions, in Collage making Chitkara University won the trophy, In Cartoon Sketching Khalsa College stood first, In short film category Punjabi University Patiala annexed the trophy and in short play Khalsa College, Amritsar won first position. The highlight of the cultural event was Bhangra & Giddha competitions. In fully packed seminar hall each team performed excellent and enthralled the audience. Finally, Punjabi University Patiala won Gold in Bhangra & Giddha. The winners were honoured with the prizes. The students of host institute and guest students enjoyed the whole event at the fullest. Vice Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh thanked all the guests & media persons and appreciated the artistic creations of the students.

Desh Bhagat University Faculty of Media Entertainment and Film Technology arranged an interaction of its students with the cast of the soon to be released Punjabi Film "Aatishbazi Ishq ". Famous Bollywood actress Mahi Gill who is in lead role and producer of this film also, came to the university, along with her full team including co-star Ravinder, Music Director R. Sheen, Writer Jagjit. S. Saini and others. The team had come for the promotion of their film and they regaled the students of the university with dialogues and songs of the upcoming movie.


University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh welcomed Mahi Gill and other artists with bouquets and conveyed them his best wishes for the success of their newly coming film. Desh Bhagat University Student Makes His Debut On Colors Channel



Desh Bhagat University Department ofMedia and Journalism’s pass out student Vinit Attri has glorified the name of the institution as he is now rocking the small screen. He has made his debut as an actor on Colors Channel’s serial Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. 


Vinit especially came to the university to seek blessings from university authorities and his teachers. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur conveyed their best wishes to him and said that one more student has brought glory to the university and we are sure that he will be recognized as a versatile actor and we are proud of him. 


While briefing about his role in the serial, Vinit said he is playing an important role in the serial Shakti and the name of his character is Ranjity. 



He said that he is privileged that he got a chance to work with Silver Screen and Television’s Big Stars like Ayub Khan, Vivian Desena, Rubina, Sudesh Beri and many others in his debut serial. 



He gives the complete credit for his success to his highly committed teachers, state-of-the-art infrastructure and congenial academic atmosphere in the university.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh and Desh Bhagat United Vice-President, Er. Sandeep Singh also congratulated the student and wished that he will make still higher achievements in his future.

Film Qissa Panjab Star Cast Regales In Best Journalism And Mass Communication College Desh Bhagat University Students

In best journalism and mass communication college in Punjab and in the best university in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University Department of Performing Arts arranged interaction of its students with the cast of the soon to be released Punjabi Film "Qissa Panjab". Ms. Annu Bains who is the producer of this film came to the university, along with her full team including star cast Preet Bhullar, Dheeraj Kumar, Kul Sidhu, Aman Dhaliwal, Harashjot Kaur, and Jagjeet Sandhu. The team had come for the promotion of their film. Ms. Tajinder Kaur University Pro-Chancellor welcomed the star cast and other artists with bouquets and conveyed them her best wishes for the success of their newly coming film. Speaking about the film, Producer Annu Bains and Director Jatinder Mauhar said that this is a youth-oriented socio-love story and the music of this film has already gained a lot of popularity among the youths. This is multiple narrative films about the lives of six young characters, all etched in different socioeconomic backgrounds, and the movie is an attempt to explore the widening gap between dreams and reality and how people evolve or dissolve in the most testing period of life, their youth. The film will be released on 16th of October The team regaled the students with their characteristic dialogues and songs of the film. Interacting with the students, Lead Actor Preet Bhullar and Actress Ms. Kul Sidhu observed that the story of this film is very interesting and it will be liked by people of every age and every section of the society. Singer and Actor Dheeraj Kumar sang a few of the songs of this film, the students enjoyed these so much that they started dancing out of joy. In Best University In Punjab Desh Bhagat University Student Shines in Folk Dance Competition

In the best university in Punjab and in top universities in India, Desh Bhagat University students have brought glory to the institution by winning the first position in National Level Competition held recently at Shantivan, Mount Abu in Rajasthan. This All India Competition was organized by Media Wing of Prajapita Braham Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at Mount Abu and in this competition, 22 teams of students from 16 states of the country participated. It’s an annual function and under this programme, in the Folk Dance Competition, Desh Bhagat University Bhangra Team did excellently and bagged the first position. The team consisting of Faculty of Performing Arts students Jarnail Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Babandeep Singh, and Satinder Joshi, who won the hearts of the audience by their lighting performance.
While congratulating the students University Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur said that by winning top position in the National level competition, these students have glorified not only the name of the university but of our state too.

Chandigarh Bollywood Day Celebrated By Desh Bhagat University In The Best University In Punjab

In the best pgdjmc course in India and in the best university in Punjab,  Desh Bhagat University & Desh Bhagat Radio 107.8 FM (Aap ki Aawaaz) celebrated ‘Chandigarh Bollywood Day’ with a cake cutting ceremony. Special guests on this occasion were from the Punjabi film industry including Actress Sumandeep, Actor & Singer Garry Waraich and Actor, Producer & Director Jasbir Dhillon who appreciated the initiative taken by the university.   

Vice President Desh Bhagat United and Director Desh Bhagat Radio Er. Sandeep Singh welcomed all the guests. Mrs. Tainder Kaur Pro-Chancellor Desh Bhagat University, Vice Chairperson Desh Bhagat United & Desh Bhagat Radio said that this is the third year in a row that the university is celebrating this particular day. It's worth mentioning that 3rd April is an important day as on this day, Big Stars of Indian Film Industry Amitabh Bachan, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preeti Zinta, Hema Malini & famous film Director Late. Sh. Yash Chopra Ji along with a Big Unit of 200 persons was under one roof in Hotel Mountview for the shooting of a super hit film ‘Veer Zara’. Darshan Aulakh’s production arranged the shooting at Chandigarh and around the city. The part of the above big cast was National Award winner child artist in the field of Acting, Pragati Trikha. Hence this day signifies the importance of the city beautiful in Bollywood.   

On this occasion, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor Desh Bhagat University, Chairman Desh Bhagat United  & Desh Bhagat Radio said, "It is from this day & the date that Chandigarh started attracting Bollywood stars & directors for shooting in the city beautiful Chandigarh. Desh Bhagat University Organises Guest Lecture On 'Television Programming’



Desh Bhagat University organised a guest lecture on ‘Television Production & Presentation’ for the students of Faculty of Performing Arts to enhance their knowledge regarding media trends.  A large number of students from the departments of Media, Journalism, Animation and Graphics attended it. The Key-note speaker on this occasion was Mr. Om Gauri Dutt Sharma, Deputy Director General (Programmes), Doordarshan Jalandhar. While interacting with the students, Mr. Sharma explained that Doordarshan is one of the most effective sources of Information, Education and Entertainment. He discussed some of the famous programmes of DD Punjabi like Sur Sirtaj, Lashkara, Chat Show, Geet Bahar and Akhara etc. Mr. Sharma informed the students about the latest techniques being used in the electronic media in general and the programmings in particular. He also dwelt upon the competencies, skills and limitations of an artist as well as a presenter. He explained that while interacting with the audience, a presenter or an anchor has to be careful with his vocabulary and style of presentation. Students can make their careers in the field of entertainment industry with hard work and dedication. The students evinced a keen interest in the lecture and asked relevant questions to clear their doubts. The expert speaker also shared his experiences with the students and guided them.
Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Tejinder Kaur said that Doordarshan has made a respectable place in the society and the need of the hour is to make programmes more entertaining as well as educative for the viewers and give right direction to the society. Registrar Dr. Virinder Singh thanked the learned speaker for his highly illuminating talk. He averred that such academic progrmmes proved quite useful for the students as these give them firsthand knowledge and practical exposure.

They exhorted the students of the Media department of Desh Bhagat University to come as entrepreneurs in Media and take live projects.   Famous theatre and Television personality Mr. Amandeep Sharma who presided over the function shared his experiences as a theatre artist in different parts of the country. He also explained to the student about the different techniques and precautions being used in the making and research of modern and period films. On this occasion Vice Chancellor, Dr. Shalini Gupta appreciated the artistic creations of the students saying that this festival has been organized to acquaint the media students with the latest trends in T.V. and Film production at the international level. She further said that the objective of education in the university is to provide the students with an atmosphere of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. During this film festival, the students of Animation and Multi-Media Department organized an exhibition of Paper Cutting, Sketching, Texturing, Graphics Design, Interior Designing, 3-D Modelling, etc. which showcased the talent and creative skill of the students. Guest lecture on Cad Software At Desh Bhagat University In The Best University In Punjab

In the best fashion designing technology college in Punjab and in the best university in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University Faculty of Design organized a Guest Lecture on use of CAD software in the fashion industry and academics, under Industry-Academia Interface Series. A large number of students from the departments of Fashion Technology & Design, Fine Arts and from Animation and Multi-Media attended it. The keynote speaker on this the occasion was Mr. Jince (Support & Training Head at Techno Piece Solutions, Hyderabad), who has a long experience of training about this software and his presentation covered various aspects of the garment the manufacturing process in the industry.

While interacting with the students, the learned speaker explained to the students & the faculty members how beneficial this software could be for Garment Pattern Making, Fashion Designing, Jacquard Designing, Embroidery Designing, all kinds of testing instruments for fiber, Yarn and Fabrics, etc. This software has given the new dimensions to the designing industry and students can create countless designs with the help of this software. The demand for CAD experts is very high in the industry and most of the manufacturing companies are now equipped with this software. He also shared some important tips about the handling of this software and also his experiences with the students. The lecture was followed by a range of queries put forward by the students to which the learned speaker aptly replied. The students were quite happy to attend the lecture and expressed the view that the session was very informative. They thanked the university authority for arranging such a knowledgeable event and said that it has added several important things about the use of CAD software to their knowledge. University Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Tejinder Kaur expressed the view that the University aims to make the student's prospect industry ready. They further articulated that such events are very useful for their multi- dimensional growth. Giving details, Vice Chancellor Dr, Shalini Gupta stated that the program was arranged under Industry-Academia Interface Series, which the university has started recently and the main focus of this event was to equip the students with technical knowledge of CAD software and it's working. In the end, Registrar Dr. Virinder Singh thanked the learned speaker and hoped that the event will prove quite useful for the students and to the faculty members as well.
