5 Students Get Jobs In Jiva Ayurveda

Desh Bhagat University Faculty of Ayurveda and Research orgnaised a Seminar entitled ‘Effective Treatment of Highly Common Diseases’.  The event was organised in collaboration with Jiva Ayurveda, Faridabad (Haryana), in which students of different classes participated. University Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, while inaugurating the event said that treatment of so many diseases through Ayurveda is quite worthwhile as it dominates preventive aspects.

Dr. Ishu Arora and Ms. Preeti Sharma, Senior Ayurveda Experts at Jiva interacted with the students and informed them about importance of Ayurveda System in Effective Treatment Therapies. They also gave presentation about Jiva Ayurveda. A quiz competition ‘Ayurwhiz’ was also organized wherein students interacted with representatives of the company and sought their queries.

On this occasion offer letters were given to the meritorious students named Vishali Walia(1st), Neetu Sohal, Sanamika Gupta (Both 2nd) and Akshay Chopra & Shruti Bhardwaj (Both 3rd) who had got first, second and third positions respectively in BAMS Final Professional examinations by Jiva Company.

Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Vice Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh appreciated the JIVA Ayurveda for its generous contribution to the development of Ayurveda. They also talked about the long healthy relationship of the institute with the company. 1100 Students Participates In State Level Mega Job Fest At Desh Bhagat University

In best university in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University organized a State Level Mega Job Fest, at its campus. The three day long fest was targeted at the students who are Graduates, Post Graduate in various streams like Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Applications etc. The Fest was attended by more than 1100 job aspirants from different parts of Punjab. 

 S. Jaspreet Singh IAS (SDM, Amloh) and Naib Tehsildar Mr. Ashok Kuamr graced the occasion by their presence. They hoped that this mega job fair will provide a launch pad to give jobs to the youth of the state.

While giving details, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh said that the Mega Job Fest was organized in collaboration with Govt. of Punjab.  In this Mega Event more than 30 well-known National and Multinational companies including Eureka Forbes, Reliance JIO, Orane, Sportking,  Cinif Technology, Touch Stone, Willowood Crop, C S Soft Solution, Solitaire Infosys, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Pix India Pvt. Limited, Edelweiss, Aviator Hub, Hoshiarpur Automobiles  etc. participated.

These companies came with 800 vacancies of different posts. The event received huge success as more than 100 candidates were selected and 250 were short listed through written test and personal interview by different companies and got job letters on the spot.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur expressed that the Job Fair initiative by Govt. of Punjab in collaboration with educational institutes would provide a golden opportunity to youth of the state to get jobs.

DBU Students Who Got Package of 2 Crore Introduced To Media During a Press Conference

Amonst top private universities in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University’s 2 students who got a package of Rs. 2 Crores from a USA based company Equity Score were introduced to media. A press conference was arranged in this connection at university campus. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh while interacting with the media persons informed them that both students Varinder Kumar and Lakhvinderjeet Singh are studying engineering in DBU.

They are selected by the company during the State Level Job Fair Visionzz-19 held recently at the university. The company has started imparted training to the students which will be of an year. After completing the training they will enrol with salary and package. Both the students received their appointment letters from The Chief Minister of Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh during the event held at Mohali, he informed. Dr. Singh also thanked the Govt. of Punjab, particularly Technical Education Minister S. Charanjit Singh Channi and others for the cooperation during the Job Fair.

Professor Paul Douglas Katchings, who is Advisor to Equity Score LLC and part of association while talking to media, said that these students will get Rs. 18,000 per month during the training period. After completing training, they will get salary plus shares of the company according to their performance. The base income for each candidate will range between $300 to $520 a month along with stock options valued between $202,000 and $313,000, he informed. The company is working in the field of App Development at different platforms.

The students who were in a jubilant mood gave the entire credit for their success to the highly committed teachers, state-of-the-art infrastructure and congenial academic environment in the university. Their parents expressed happiness saying that it’s wonderful that their children will earn such a good amount during the study.

Innovation Entreprenureship Development Centre Established At Desh Bhagat University

Desh Bhagat University has carved out a niche for itself by establishing an Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Center (IEDC) for the bright future of its students. A special program was arranged to inaugurate the center. University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh presided over the function asserted that we want to make our students future ready and this initiative will provide them firsthand knowledge, training and proper guidance to become an entrepreneurs. The EDP Cell has especially drafted several program to guide and trained them how to face with difficulties and pressure.
