Pharmacy Council of India Grants Increase in B Pharmacy Seats 60 To 100

Pharmacy council of India has decided to enhance the number of B Pharmacy courses seats 60 to 100 at Desh Bhagat University (DBU) in best b. pharmacy colleges in Punjab. Now DBU has permission to admit more students in B Pharmacy Courses for the academic session 2018-19. Pharmacy council of India has approved the proposal of Desh Bhagat University for enhancing seats in B Pharmacy courses to meet higher education needs.

Disclosing this information, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University said, Pharmacy Council of India conveyed its approval to allow admitting 100 students in B Pharmacy courses for the academic session 2019-20.

Dr. Singh expressed his gratitude to the Government of India & Pharmacy Council of India for granting the approval. He congratulated the Management, Principal, Staff and Students of the Institute for this achievement. He also added that it is a milestone in the field of Pharmacy education. Dr. Singh expressed the view that games and sports are an integral part of our education and to promote the same among students, Desh Bhagat University provides all types of incentives and facilities to the outstanding players.

Dbu To Start Diploma In Pharmacy (Allopathic) From New Session

Desh Bhagat University’s School of Pharmacy organized Pharma Fest. In this programme, all the students of B-Pharmacy participated with full enthusiasm.  The event was inaugurated by University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh. As part of this programme, students undertook a drive to create awareness regarding drugs, cleanliness (Swachh Bharat) and universal brotherhood.While presiding over the function Dr. Zora Singh said, ‘It is easy to get a thousand prescriptions, but hard to get one single remedy’. He encouraged the students to get full knowledge of their field and not to take a decision in a hurry as patients have all faith on their doctors. Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur appreciated the students and staff for their awareness drive.

Giving more details of the event Principal Dr. Pooja Gulati briefed that all the students of B. Pharmacy performed in various activities on Pharma-Fest like Rangoli Competition, Paper Reading, Poster Presentation and Quiz competition etc. under the guidance of various faculty members.  She admitted that we have well established Laboratories and well experienced staff. School of Pharmacy is going to start Diploma in Pharmacy (Allopathic) in coming session of 2018-2019, she also stated. Winners of different competitions were honoured with prizes and certificates. The students who performed exceptionally well in academics were also awarded with mementoes and special prizes. Health Ministry Grants 60 Seats Permission For B.Pharmacy Programe To Desh Bhagat University

Desh Bhagat University (DBU) Mandi Gobindgarh has been granted permission to start new graduate degree (B. Pharmacy) course. Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Pharmacy Division/Education) has approved the proposal of Desh Bhagat University for starting Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) course to meet the Pharmaceutical educational needs in Punjab.

Disclosing this, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University and Chairman Desh Bhagat United said, “The Central Government has accepted the recommendation of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and conveyed its approval to allow admitting students in B.Pharmacy course with 60 seats on the request of Desh Bhagat School of Pharmacy for the academic session 2016-17.  Dr Singh said that there was a huge demand for this course in the area and now admission is on for this course.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh expressed his gratitude to the Government of India and PCI for granting this approval. He congratulated the management, staff and students of the college for this accomplishment and also thanked all those who extended their support to this endeavour.

Dr. Pooja Gulati, HoD Faculty of Ayurveda and Research informed that admission process is on for this course and for M. Pharmacy course as well. We have all facilities and state of the art infrastructure and congenial academic atmosphere in the institute, she added.
