In The Best University in Punjab Desh Bhagat University Organises Guest Lecture On Effective Communication

In the best university in Punjab and in top universities in India, Desh Bhagat University organized a guest lecture on Role of Effective Communication. A large number of students from different faculties and teaching staff attended it. The learned speaker on this occasion was Ambassador Deepak Vohra IFS (Retd.), Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho. This lecture was specially arranged for the students to boost up their communication skills and its importance in day to day life. While addressing the students and faculty members, Ambassador Vohra said that Effective Communication is the major tool of success, success begins with a positive attitude and it will power that can make every journey to an easy one. While talking about the importance of 7 C (Completeness, Conciseness, Consideration, Clarity, Concreteness, Courtesy, and Correctness) in communication he said that effective communication is that which produces intended or the desired result. He also advised the students to learn a few new words every day, speak soft and clear, improve vocabulary, diction and keep themselves updated from time to time. In his two hour power packed lecture, he discussed several points and shared his views regarding how to overcome our weaknesses and how to achieve the desired goal. The students evinced a keen interest in the lecture and during the interaction session, they asked relevant questions on concerned topic which the learned speaker answered to their entire satisfaction. The students said the views expressed by the speaker have encouraged them to learn maximum. University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Tejinder Kaur expressed their happiness and said that such events are very useful for students and this will help in their multi-functional growth. At the end of the program, Vice Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh thanked the learned speaker for sparing his valuable time for the students and hoped that it will prove quite useful for them and the faculty members too.
