India Has A Potential To Become World Leader: Says Deepak Vohra

"India is a very fast growing economic power of the world, in spite of all odds, our country has the potential to become a fully developed country by 2020, said Mr. Deepak Vohra, IFS (Retd.). He was speaking as the keynote speaker in an Expert Talk on 'Global Megatrends' at Desh Bhagat University. University Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Shalini Gupta while welcoming the learned speaker said that in today's fast moving era, everything is changing very speedily and to become a developed country, we have to get rid of all our weaknesses. She said that it’s a time of innovation, smart technology, world class infrastructure and latest techniques, and it is the responsibility of the students to contribute and make our country sound and strong on the world map. While addressing the students and faculty of Desh Bhagat University, Mr. Deepak Vohra discussed in detail about the Global Megatrends in different fields like Infrastructure, Science and Technology, Economy, E-Governance etc. At present all Major Developing countries are looking towards us because we have maximum young population of the world and have the potential to become a super power in the near future. Our Entrepreneurs are producing global brands and competing confidently in the world market. He urged the students to give their best to make our country stronger and inspired them to adopt positive attitude in all fields. He also gave some tips to the students to be successful in life and encouraged them to feel pride in their great country. He also shared his experiences and satisfied the queries of the students. Desh Bhagat University Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Tejinder Kaur in a special message said that such events are very useful for the young generation, especially the students. It will help them in their multi-functional growth. At the end of the programme, the university Vice Chancellor Dr. S. S. Chahal thanked the learned speaker for separating his valuable time for the students and hoped that it will prove quite useful for them and the faculty members too. Registrar Dr. Virinder Singh.
