The North Zone Inter University Football (Girls) Championship
is being organized from December 24 to 30 at Desh Bhagat University in top universities in India and best university in Punjab, in which 28 Universities
of the North Zone are participating. The championship was launched by Desh
Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh with unfurling flag ceremony. He
said that a healthy body consists of a healthy brain and with sports we can
keep our health healthy.
The tournament is becoming a source of interest and fun for
the students and staff members are also fulfilling their responsibilities. All
the teams participated in this tournament with great enthusiasm and discipline.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virender Singh said that winning in sports is not as
important as participating in sports. He encouraged all the students to take
part in the Games.
On this occasion, the Director of Sports Department of the
University Dr. Harbhajan Singh Atwal welcomed the Chief guests, officials and
coaches of other universities, and encouraged all the teams to get on the field
with sportsperson ship.
