Govt. Of Punjab Grants Increase In Nursing Seats To Desh Bhagat University, GNM Nursing College In Punjab In 5 Different Courses

The Punjab Nursing Registration council (PNRC) & Government of Punjab has decided to enhance the number of nursing courses seats in Desh Bhagat University (DBU). Now DBU has permission to admit more students in five different nursing Courses for the academic session 2018-19. The Punjab Nursing Registration council (PNRC) & Government of Punjab have approved the proposal of Desh Bhagat University in best GNM Nursing College In Punjab for enhancing seats in ANM, GNM, B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing courses to meet the higher education needs of the Bachelor and Masters of nursing.

Disclosing this information, Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University said, ‘The Punjab Government has accepted the recommendation of PNRC and conveyed its approval to allow admitting more students in Nursing courses in the specialty of ANM (30- 60seats), GNM (60 seats), B.Sc Nursing (60 seats), Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (30 -60 seats) and M.Sc Nursing (PEAD-10, Med Sur-10, PSY-10, OBG-10, CHN-10seats) vide letter number 2/54/2016-3MER3/ 55-57 date 02.01.2018, for the academic session 2018-19.

Dr. Singh expressed his gratitude to the Government of Punjab & PNRC for granting the approval. He congratulated the Management, Principal, Staff and Students of the Institute for this achievement. He also added that it is a milestone in the field of nursing education. He also thanked all those who extended their support to this endeavor.
