In Top Universities in India, Desh Bhagat University Celebrates World Health Day

In best universities in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University Faculty of Nursing celebrated World Health Day with full enthusiasm. Under this programme, the nursing students took part in different activities. The students organised a rally and went from door to door to make the people aware about heath care and its importance. Colourful banners and placards with awareness messages like, Health for All, Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere, Health is Wealth and Healthy Body Healthy Mind, Eat Healthy Be Active etc. were carried by the students to educate the residents.


University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur said that such programmes are very helpful for the people, especially living in rural areas because it helps in making them aware. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh also appreciated the initiative taken by the students of Nursing.








 Director Faculty of Nursing Ms. Suraj Mathew said that this year World Health Organisation (WHO) is focusing on awareness about Health for All.  On the theme a motivational and inspirational lecture was arranged at the institute.













She informed that our students also distributed pictorial pamphlets to spread awareness about Health & fitness and other diseases among the local residents and surrounding areas. The students motivated them to keep away from all kinds of drugs and also exhorted them to make others aware. Students also participated in Rangoli, Poster making and quiz competitions. The students presented a role play on Health & Diet. Students of M.Sc. Nursing, Post basic Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, GNM and ANM performed excellently during the play.
