YOUTH FEST ‘D BUZZ -2016’ begins at DESH BHAGAT UNIVERSITY

Much awaited Youth Festival of Desh Bhagat University ‘D.Buzz -2016’ began today at with great pomp and show.

 The grand event was inaugurated by University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh. Speaking on the occasion,


 he expressed the hope that the students participating in various events will not only showcase their skills but also exchange their new ideas and discoveries.


Mr. Kamaldeep Singh Sangha, Deputy Commissioner, Fatehgarh Sahib who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, appreciated the initiative of the University for providing a wonderful platform .


The students getting higher education in technical, management and other professional courses to exhibit their talents and skills in a competitive spirit.


While welcoming all the guests and the participating teams, Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur conveyed her


best wishes to the participants and said that the objective of this programme is to bring out the hidden talents of the students and channelise their energies to right direction.


Giving more details, Vice- Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh said that the students from different colleges and universities participated with full zeal and exhibited their talents through different competitions.

The competitions held on the first day included Rangoli, Collage Making,

On the Spot Painting, Face Painting, Candle and Diya Decoration, Solo Song (Classical, Ghazal,Westren etc.),Group Song, Folk Dance, Mimicry and Skit etc.
 The main attractions of the first day were flying competition of different models designed by the students themselves.



Director (Education) Dr. Surjit Patheja, thanked all the guests and told the audience that on the third and final day of the

Youth Fest, famous Punjabi Signers, Ninja and Miss Nimrat Khaira will give their performances and add to the thrill of the event.


Director (Academic) Dr. Diwan Singh, Director Amit Sachdeva, Directors of the various university faculties, teachers of different institutions and large number of students were present on this occasion.
