Inter Faculty T-20 Cricket Tournament At Desh Bhagat University In The Best University In Punjab

Best University in Punjab - Desh Bhagat UniversityIn the best university in Punjab and in the best engineering college in India, Desh Bhagat University organized an Inter-Faculty T-20 Cricket Tournament. A total of 9 teams from different faculties participated in this tournament. University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Tajinder Kaur inaugurated the final day event. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said that games and sports are an essential part of our education and these have educational as well as recreational value. These also keep us fit and fine. The tournament was a source of great education and entertainment for the students and staff members. All the teams played their best and fought hard to enter the final fray. After semifinal matches, the Final of the tournament was particularly thrilling and breath-taking. In finals, Faculty of Law beat Faculty of Computer Science & Application by 4 wickets. Akhand (from Law team), was declared Man of the Match and Malinder (from Law team), was chosen Best Bowler of the tournament. Mr. Gurpartap Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Fatehgarh Sahib presided over the Prize Distribution function of this event. While congratulating the winning teams and best players, he said that the important thing in a game is not to win or lose but to play in the true sportsman spirit. He appreciated the players for the excellent play. University Controller of Examination and In-Charge (Sports) Dr. Inderjeet Singh Sethi said that University is providing all types of facilities for all the major indoor and outdoor games to its students so that they are able to attain the desired heights in the field of sports. Director Faculty of Law Dr. S. S. Saluja and members from different faculties were also present on the occasion. The results of the tournament are as under Winner - Faculty of Law Man of the Match – Akhand (Law Team) Best Bowler – Malinder (Law Team).
