Desh Bhagat University in the best ANM nursing College in Punjab and in the best GNM nursing College in Punjab Faculty of Nursing organized a party named “LA FETE” for the freshers as well as outgoing nursing students. On this occasion Honourable Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Zora Singh was the chief guest who inaugurated the event by lightening the lamp. Dr. Singh wished the students all the best and said that they have to work hard and be honest about their duties. Vice Chancellor Dr. Shalini Gupta congratulated all the nursing students for joining this noble profession and encouraged them to serve mankind with honesty and empathy.
The function was a fun filled event in which the freshers got an opportunity to interact with the seniors. The students also presented a colorful cultural program consisting of songs, dances, and skits. Fun games and Modelling Competition was also arranged for the Freshers and the Outgoing students, which was truly liked by everyone. Mr. Gyanendra and Ms. Rupinder were judged as Mr. Farewell and Ms. Farewell respectively. While in another move, Ms. Khushpreet Kaur was crowned as ‘Miss Fresher 2014’and Mr. Sanwara Arora won the title of ‘Mr. Fresher 2014’.
To add more fun to the party, the outgoing students of B.Sc. (N) IVth year, Post Basic B.Sc. (N) IInd year and M.Sc. (N) IInd year were also given specific comments based on their personalities and they were honored with tokens of love by their juniors. The party was highly enjoyed and appreciated by the students. Director Dr. Ramandeep Kaur Dhillon and Director Mrs. Kuldeep Longia wished all the nursing students a bright future. Registrar Dr. Virinder Singh, Controller Examination, Dr. I.S. Sethi, Director Dr. Pardeep Singh Cheema, Director Dr. Surjeet Patheja and other faculty members were also present on this occasion. The program ended with a sumptuous lunch and leaving behind sweet memories those will be cherished lifelong.
