A National Workshop on ‘Emerging Trends
in best information technology course in punjab in University Management’ started in Desh Bhagat University.The three days long event is being organised in collaboration with Association
of Indian Universities (AIU). Giving details of the Event University
Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur said that on Day First, Mr. Gobinder Singh,
District & Session Judge, Director (Administration), Chandigarh Judicial
Academy was the Chief Guest, who inaugurated the workshop and also released IPR
(Intellectual Property Rights) brochure of the university.
University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh
welcomed all the guests and said that Information Technology (IT) Industry in
India is playing a key role in boosting up our country’s development in all
sectors. This Industry has been one of the most significant growth contributors
for the Indian Economy with latest trends and techniques.
Dr. Amrender Pani (Director, AIU) was
the keynote speaker on this occasion. He said that latest techniques of
Information Technology have eased educational institutions academic and
administrative works as well .

Prof. R. S. Salaria (Prof. & Head
Rayat-Bahra Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hoshiarpur) said it’s
time of Co-operation and Collaboration. We have to
exchange views, learn new perspectives, form new alliances, learn the latest
proven approaches, regulations, trends and ensure that our institutions remain
competitive in the global environment of higher education. In second session of
the day Dr. Vishal Goyal (Associate Prof., Punjabi University, Patiala) talked
on cloud computing and its importance.
During the workshop, lectures were
delivered by experts and policy makers. PPT, Oral and Poster
presentations were made by research scholars, teachers and IT experts hailing
from different parts of the country. They all affirmed that to develop
innovative ideas to make education more interesting and effective, so our young
generation can take full benefit of it. During the discussion session,
participants presented their views on different topics and shared their ideas.
At the end of the inaugural day programme Dr. H. K. Sidhu and Dr. Parmod Mandal
thanked all the guests and participants. Directors, Teaching, Non-Teaching
staff and HoD of different faculties were also present on this occasion.
