Aeronautical Engineering oragnised a National Seminar on ‘Recent Trends in
Aerospace Technology -2016’ (RTIAT).

Best Aeronautical Engineering Colleges in Punjab The event was arranged by Aerospace Club of the university in collaboration with Aeronautical Society of India. Eminent Research Scholars, Teachers, Aeronautical Experts and representatives of different institutes participated in it and presented their research papers, exhibited projects and Aero Models.
Sh. Asutosh Ganju, Chairman
Aeronautical Society of India was chief guest on this occasion. In his address,
he discussed about recent trends in aerospace technology, future expectations
and expansion in aviation. He also described the innovative Aeronautical
methodologies being adopted nowadays by aeronautical world. Air Marshal
Sukhchain Singh (Retd.) AVSM, VSM was Guest of the honour who delivered theme
address and Sh. Sudhir Dhamija Scientist from DRDO presented his views on
Aerospace Technology as keynote

University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur welcomed the chief guest and other guests. They said such kind of programs bring multiple stake holders and experts on a common platform to exchange ideas and evolve solutions to the most pressing challenges confronting today.
Er. Parmod K. Mandal , Head of
Aeronautical Engineering briefed about the department and emphasized on
practical training, industrial visits, seminars for overall development of
students which are current practices of the department. He also said the
department is equipped with all modern equipments such as Aircraft
instruments, Jet Engines, Model aircrafts, flight simulator and sub sonic wind
tunnel.

Apart from students exhibited their
projects and in Aero modeling competition students showed their skills as
individual and in team projects as well. The experts appreciated their
innovative ideas and guided them how they can improve. During the technical cum
interaction sessions, lectures were delivered by experts and PPT, Oral and
Poster presentations were made by research scholars, teachers and Aeronautical
students.
Students asked relevant questions on concerned topic which the learned speakers answered to their entire satisfaction. The students said the views expressed by the experts have encouraged them to learn maximum.

At the end of the event, University
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh, thanked all the guests and expressed
pleasure at the overwhelming response to the Seminar and said that it will
prove quite useful for the students and faculty members.
