Mr. Bishwabhusan Harichandan, Governer of Andhra Pradesh Visits Desh Bhagat University, Best University in Punjab and in Top Universities in India During Convocation Ceremony

The 7th Convocation of best university in Punjab and in top universities in India Desh Bhagat University was held at Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Auditorium. About 1,200 degrees, related to Ph.D, M.Phil, Masters and Graduation, were awarded in this convocation. Chief Guest Mr. Bishwabhusan Harichandan Governor Andhra Pradesh and University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and other respected guests were welcomed by Vice-President Dr. Sandeep Singh. Chief Guest Shri Bishwabhushan Harichandan said that the future always depends on your dreams and it is your chance to go and fulfill your dreams. He inspired the students to stay away from social evils and work for development. Addressing the gathering of guests and students, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh told the students that this is a special moment in your life after which you have to get involved in one of life's important struggles and contribute to the progress of the country. He also said that we need more to adopt a positive attitude towards life so that we can fulfill our and our parents’ dreams. Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur gave best wishes to students for their bright future. On this occasion, Honorable Shri Biswashan Harichandan Governor Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mule, Punjabi Actor Binu Dhillon, Mr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, Dr. Badrinath Patnaik, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma and Mr. Ravinder P. Singh Bedi were awarded a Doctorate Degree by Desh Bhagat University for outstanding contribution in various fields. Dr. Christopher Navanru from Nigiria, Dr. Jagannath Patnaik Vice Chancellor ICFAI University, Dr. Badrinath Patnaik and former Secretary of Foreign Affairs Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mule joined as special guest. ProVice Chancellor Dr. Vimal Sikri, Registrar Kulbhushan, Dr. Sanjeev Goel, MK Agarwal, Additional General Manager Indian Overseas Bank Mr. Kashmir Singh and Director Dr. Surjit Patheja also made a special contribution. Desh Bhagat University's 5th Convocation Held, 750 Degrees Conferred

Ranked in top three best university in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University held its convocation at Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Auditorium. About 750 pass outs including PhD’s and M. Phil’s of the university and the Desh Bhagat United belonging to different streams participated in the convocation and received their degrees and medals.

 Shri Prem Bhandari (Chairman, Jaipur Foot, USA) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address, he said that future belongs to those who believe in dreams, “Go and fulfil your dreams and shine on the canvas of the country and the world”.

He also urged the youth to keep away from all kinds of drugs as well as social evils and contribute to the development of the nation.

While addressing the graduates and the mammoth gathering present on the occasion, University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh exhorted the students to have high values, work hard and adopt positive attitude to fulfil their own dreams as well as the dreams of their parents.

Pro Chancellor of the University Dr. Tajinder Kaur welcomed Chief Guest, Guests of Honour, as well as all other guests.

In top rank university in Punjab, on this occasion, Desh Bhagat University conferred Ph.D / D. Lit (Honoris Causa) degree on Sh. Prem Bhandari, Dr. S.P. Singh Oberai and Acharya Shailesh Tiwari. All the recipients of honorary degrees thanked the University for recognizing their contribution to the society and honouring them for the same.

S. Mukul Goyal (IPS) I.G. BSF, Mr. Romesh Gujral, Dr. Jagannath Patnaik graced the occasion as special guests. The MD's and CEO's of different companies including Sh. Vinod Vashist, Vishal Bhardwaj, Miss Priti and Sh. V.K. Verma were honoured at the occasion. Prof. Douglas Paul of Equity Score USA were especially present to grace the event.

Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Virinder Singh read the academic report of the university and highlighted its achievements.

The students who have performed excellently during the academic year in sports and other co-curricular activities were especially honoured with medals and certificates.

While thanking all present, university Registrar Dr. Kulbhushan and Vice- President Desh Bhagat United, Er. Sandeep Singh observed that this convocation will be marked in the annals of the university as a golden day and the university feels proud by honouring these personalities.
