Workshop For Aeronautical Engineering Students At Desh Bhagat University

Desh Bhagat University Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Department of Aeronautical Engineering organised a Summer Workshop for the students. All the students of Aeronautical department and some students of other institutes took part in it. The workshop was arranged in collaboration with Sky-fi labs of Aerotrix Company, Bengaluru, which is India’s biggest Aeromodelling provider. While inaugurating this six day long Workshop, University Pro Chancellor Tejinder Kaur inspired the students to think big and to be in discipline and work hard to achieve their fixed target. Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, in his message, encouraged the students to give their best and to adopt positive attitude in all fields. The learned speakers spoke on different topics of Aeronautical Engineering and informed the students about the demands and trends of the industry in today’s competitive era. The main attraction of this workshop was competition of making and flying of RC (Remote Control) Aircraft and Quad Copter, which were designed and fabricated by different teams of the students. This competition was very interesting and students showed their talent with perfection. In RC Aircraft design competition, team no 6 got Best Design award which included Kapil, Mehakveer, Vipinveer, Kamaldeep and Ajmer. Team no 3 got best RC Aircraft Fabrication award which included Manmeet, Samarjeet, Ridhi,Heena and Rohit. On the last day of the workshop, the Awards were given to the winning teams by University Vice Chancellor Dr. Shalini Gupta. She patted the back of students and encouraged them always to give their best and learn maximum practically. Director Faculty of Engineering Dr. Pardeep Singh Cheema and HoD of Aeronautical Department Dr. Parmod Mandal said that the department will be organising this kind of workshops and activities from time to time so that the students are up-dated about modern trends and demands of the industry. The students were quite happy and excited to attend the workshop.
