Dr. Chander Mohan,
the man behind India’s first indigenous Tractor, founder of Punjab Tractors, a
designer Technologist who established Swaraj Group of Companies after his
successful carrier with Indian Railways and Central Mechanical Engineering
Research Institute (CSIR) is no more. He was awarded Padma Shri in the year
1985. A condolence meeting was held to pay homage to this great entrepreneur
and designer technologist.
Dr. Zora Singh Hon’ble Chancellor of the best university in Punjab and in top universities in India Desh Bhagat University expressed his
deep sadness and said, Dr. Chander Mohan will be remembered as a celebrated
technologist worldwide for his exemplary contribution in the field of
technology, deep commitment and motivating spirit to the upcoming
entrepreneurs. The meeting concluded with a prayer in silence for the departed
soul.
