The best university in Punjab and in best bpt colleges in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University Department of Physiotherapy
celebrated World Physiotherapy day. Physiotherapy department organized a free
medical camp on the occasion. The camp was organized to make people aware about
health and fitness.
The day marks the unity and solidarity of the global
physiotherapy community. It is an opportunity to recognize the work that
physiotherapists do for their patients and community. Using World Physical
Therapy Day as a focus, WCPT aims to support member organizations’ in their efforts
to promote the profession and advance their expertise.
On this occasion cake cutting ceremony was performed by Vice
Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh and Staff Members. He appreciated the doctors for their
services.
University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh appealed to the people
to get maximum advantage from the services being provided by Desh Bhagat
Hospital. He also said that it is necessary to raise awareness about the roles,
importance and responsibilities of doctors and to promote medical profession.
University Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur informed that
Medicines were provided free of cost and some laboratory tests were also done
free of cost to needy patients. While
giving more details, Registrar Dr. Kulbhushan disclosed that during the camp
the Physiotherapy specialist examined patients and gave necessary medical
assistance. He also advised the people to make exercise and walking for half an
hour a daily habit. The patients were highly pleased and contented with the
treatment and facilities provided by DBU during the medical camp.
