Desh Bhagat University, in best university in Punjab and top universities in India invited all the alumni in the Alumni meet held on 25 Aug 2018. The event bought out beautiful memories as a huge number of alumni came together to share their feelings and to participate in the meet. In best university in Punjab and top university in India, Desh Bhagat University, Pro Chancellor Dr.Tajinder Kaur warmly welcomed the chief guest Deputy Commissioner of Fathegarh Sahib Sh. Shivdular Singh Dhillon and guest of honor SDM Amloh Mr. Anand Sagar Sharma along with all the alumni students present during the occasion. She proudly expressed that alumni of Desh Bhagat University have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields. On this occasion university establish Alumni Association of Desh Bhagat University.

The Alumni meet was inaugurated with cake cutting ceremony by dignitaries. Deputy Commissioner of Fathegarh Sahib Sh. Shivdular Singh Dhillon in his inauguration speech shared views on drug prevention programs of Punjab government and also motivated students to work hard for the betterment of our society.

The meet started with a formal introduction and warm-up session, which witnessed gathering of above 600 former students of Desh Bhagat University. All alumni got together like a family and shared their good old memories and created new ones. Everyone was in a mood of excitement and happiness and this merriment was seen all over.

In best university in Punjab and top universities in India, Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh in his speech welcomed all the guests and alumni of university. He said that the establishment of Desh Bhagat University is for the overall development of society and that the university was established in the fondest memory of his late father Sr. Lal Singh Ji, a renowned Freedom Fighter & an associate of Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose, who envisioned the need of educated, successful & holistic youth in India. We cherish his dreams & try to transform the society.

The Alumni were taken around the university campus. Apart from Education, Engineering, Hotel Management, Art and Craft, Media, Agriculture and they interacted with the faculty and students and appreciated the authorities for providing state of the art infrastructure to the students studying at the university. Food stalls were placed by students in the university campus. An Exhibition was arranged by University’s Department of Fine Arts and Departments of Engineering. A Fashion Show was also organized by students and alumni. In the evening during the colourful cultural events, the students presented folk songs and dances such as Manipuri, Punjabi, Himachali and many more. In best university in Punjab and top universities in India, Desh Bhagat University Vice- Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh and other university officials were also present on this occasion.

In the end, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur thanked all guests and expressed happiness over the overwhelming response received for the success of this mega event. All the participating members and alumni thanked the university, particularly Dr. Zora Singh for this initiative and hoped they would be meeting again very soon. The Alumni meet concluded successfully leaving behind everlasting remembrance.
