On the occasion of Independence Day Desh Bhagat University
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh honored by SDM Amloh Mr Anand Sagar Sharma for his
contribution in the development of state as well India in the field of
education.
Punjab Government appreciated the efforts made by him to
develop an excellent educational hub in rural area of Punjab. Desh Bhagat
University, in top universities in India and best university in Punjab is
running more than 150 courses in different streams like Media, Dental, Law, Engineering,
Agriculture, Hotel Management, Nursing, Ayurveda, Education, Commerce,
Management, Computer Sciences etc.
Dr Zora Singh is a son of freedom fighter S. Lal Singh ji,
who was a companion of Neta Ji Subhash Chandra Bose and a member of 'Azad Hind
Fauj'. Sr Lal Singh Ji, fought for the independence of India and his efforts of
social work were recognized by awarding him with “Tamra Patra” by Govt. of
India. The name of this University and other Institutions was kept 'Desh
Bhagat' to commemorate the sacrifices of the patriots and martyrs of India.
Desh Bhagat has been established with the mission of pursuing excellence in
higher education as envisioned by Sr. Lal Singh Ji.
SDM Amloh Anand Sagar Sharma in his speech congratulates Dr
Zora Singh for his great efforts in the field of education and Social welfare.
He said that Desh Bhagat Hospital and Desh Bhagat Dental College are jointly
arranging free Dental camps at different places from time to time free of cost
for the welfare of people of our society. He also said that Desh Bhagat
University and Hospital is very beneficial for rural population of Amloh.
