Ayurveda and Research Seminar In Punjab


 Desh Bhagat University Organises Seminar For Ayurvedic Students

Desh Bhagat University Faculty of Ayurveda and Research organised a Seminar-cum-CME (Continuing Medical Education) programe entitled ‘Scope of Ayurveda-Today and Tomorrow’.  The event was organised in collaboration with Jiva Ayurveda, Faridabad (Haryana), in which students of different classes participated. University Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur, while inaugurating the event said that treatment of so many diseases through Ayurveda is quite worthwhile as it dominates preventive aspects.



Dr. Keshav Chauhan, Senior Ayurveda Expert at JIVA and other officials of the company who were especially present on the occasion interacted with the students and informed them about importance of Ayurveda System in today’s era. Mr. Firoz Alam, (Human Resource Department JIVA gave presentation about JIVA Ayurveda . He said that this event is a part of company’s Continuous Medical Education Programme. A quiz competition ‘Ayurwhiz’ was also organized wherein students interacted with representatives of the company and sought their queries. Winners of this contest will represent the institute in next round.



On this occasion 'Jivaka' and 'Ayurvisharada' Awards and cash rewards along with certificates were given to the meritorious students named Neha Thakur , Shikha and Gaganpreet Kaur who had stood first, second and third respectively in BAMS Final Professional examinations.



Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh appreciated the JIVA Ayurveda for its generous contribution to the development of Ayurveda. Vice Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh in his address emphasized the need to adopt Ayurvedic System to live a long and healthy life. He also talked about the long healthy relationship of the institute with the company. Director Faculty of Ayurveda & Research Dr. Kulbhushan Vashist thanked all the guests and hoped that this event will prove quite useful for the students and faculty members.
