Desh Bhagat University Salutes Olympic Champions Sakshi and Sindhu
To salute the girl power of our Nation in Rio Olympic Desh Bhagat University arranged a special programme dedicated to P.V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik. It was a free invitation for all the students, staff, faculty and peons of Desh Bhagat University to tie the knot of Rakhi on the wrist of the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor. By doing this University appreciated the strength and power of our Bronze Medal winner Sakshi Malik and Silver Medal Winner P V Sindhu.
The District Administrator praised and encouraged the efforts of University. The male members of Desh Bhagat University have taken pledge for the safeguard of the females and they will make sure that they will protect the Women Rights.
While feeling proud Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University said that Sakshi & Sindhu have honored the nation by their splendid performance in Rio Olympic. Dr. Singh congratulated Sakshi and Sindhu for their marvelous performance in the Rio Olympic. DBU Chancellor also said that “free for all females” of DBU to the Rakhi is to assure all that DBU is family for all employees.
Vice Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University Dr Varinder Singh said that he was very happy and touched by the amount of respect and regard showed by the University members and students for the Olympic Champions.
