A Guest Lecture On Interviewing Skills And Career Counseling At Desh Bhagat University In The Best University In Punjab

In the best university in Punjab and in the top universities in India, Desh Bhagat University Organized a guest lecture on ‘Interviewing Skills, Career Counseling and Personality Improvement’ for the students of Management, Computer Science and Commerce classes. The program was arranged by the Training and Placement Department of the university. The learned speaker on this occasion was Mr. Prince Kalia, Manager-HR, IDS Infotech Ltd., Chandigarh.



While addressing the students, Mr. Kalia exhorted them to set a mission in their life, plan strategy to achieve that and take lessons from all their failures. The learned speaker said that success always walks with everyone but due to circumstances, lack of vision and management techniques, it seems elusive. He said that First Impression is the last impression and you will not get another chance to prove yourself so be polite, confident and active at the time of interview. For an interviewee Art of self-presentation, Body language, Effective Communication, and Way of Dressing also matter. 



In his two hours power-packed lecture, he discussed several points like Team Work, Spirit and Self Confidence, etc. and shared his views regarding how to overcome obstacles and how to achieve success. The students evinced a keen interest in the lecture and during the interaction session, they asked relevant questions on different topics which the learned speaker answered to their entire satisfaction. The students were quite happy to attend this lecture and said the views expressed by the speaker have boosted their morale to do big in life.
University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tajinder Kaur expressed their happiness and said that such events are very useful for students and this will help in their multi-functional growth.  At the end of the program, Vice Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh thanked the learned speaker for sparing his valuable time for the students and hoped that it will prove quite useful for them.
