Desh Bhagat University has been made a member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The AIU Governing Council in its 330th Meeting, granted provisional membership of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh (Punjab). AIU serves as the representative body of universities in India and undertakes various programs to help improve standards of research, examination, instruction, scholarly publications, library organization, textbooks and such other things as may contribute to the growth and propagation of knowledge. While giving this information, university Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh observed that itâ€™s another feather in the cap of Desh Bhagat University and it will help the university develop faster as a center of innovation, research and entrepreneurship. University Pro-Chancellor Ms. Tejinder Kaur while congratulating the whole staff stated that it is the result of their hard work and dedication. It is worth mentioning that Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab has achieved remarkable distinction in the field of education and is the most diversified university in North India. The University came into existence as a State Private University under Punjab Govt. Desh Bhagat University Act, 2012.
